        Call for Presentations

        Important Dates:
        Abstracts due March 15, 2010
Notification of acceptance March 29, 2010

SDPs aim to create an attractive service environment, appealing for the users and easing the service creation and deployment. Still, few services fully exploit these capabilities. The goal of this workshop is to analyze the status and the evolution of the service provision over SDPs, therefore both research results and use case presentations are welcomed.

Interested participants willing to give a short talk in the workshop should send a half page abstract of their intended presentation by March 15th, 2010 to Dr. Kellerer, Prof. Magedanz and Dr. Schröder via info [at] kuvs-ngsdp [dot] org. As a guideline, some topics of interest are short-listed below. The Steering Group of this expert’s forum will finally select the presentations and a notification will be given by March 29th, 2010.

In addition, to individual presentations about research results, this workshop intends to give an overview about related collaboration projects e.g. funded by the BMBF, DFG, EU in a special session. For this session, next to short oral presentations posters are planned to give a project overview. Project participants are encouraged to submit a half page abstract summarizing the project scope.

        Topics of Interest

        • SDP evolution and interworking
        • SOA and Web Services in telecommunications
        • Blending of IMS and Internet services
        • SDP and Web 2.0: exposure for real time-iterative communications, e.g. RCS
        • SDP control: network operator vs. service providers
        • Distributed (P2P) vs. network centric service platforms
        • SDP Exposure, Open network APIs (e.g. GSMA One API), Open device APIs (e.g. BONDI)
        • IP-based service signaling (beyond SIP)
        • Service Enablers
        • Service Brokers, service orchestration
        • Service creation and deployment
        • SDP management (provision, operations, maintenance, charging, security)
